To the CSU Law community,

I write this with a full heart and an overwhelming sense of gratitude, because there truly are not enough words to express how deeply grateful I am for the outpouring of support I have received from our CSU community.

As many of you know, my boyfriend and I recently went through the devastating experience of losing our home in an apartment fire. In an instant, so much of what we had built together was gone. It was one of the most frightening and overwhelming moments of my life, and CSU Law was one of the first communities to show up for us.

Whether you donated, sent a kind message, reached out to check in, or simply held us in your thoughts, please know that every single gesture mattered more than you will ever know. On the days when the weight of everything felt impossible to carry, it was the warmth of this community that reminded me I was not alone.

The College of Law has always been more than a place of learning for me. It is a community of people who genuinely care for one another, and this experience proved that in the most powerful way. You showed me what it means to truly look out for your own.

My boyfriend, our two very resilient cats, and I are slowly rebuilding, and we carry your kindness with us every step of the way. I am so honored to be a part of this community, and I hope one day I can pay this generosity forward to someone who needs it the way I did.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

   With love and endless gratitude,

   Emma Prusha
